We’re looking out on a giant green farm. Right behind it are the three iconic lower Manhattan bridges, the Brooklyn bridge, the Manhattan bridge, the Williamsburg bridge, downtown financial centre with the World Trade Centre sticking up, and all of midtown with the Empire State Building sticking up. Donald trump couldn’t pay for this view. Nobody could pay for this view.

On this episode of People of Purpose, Johanna speaks to Chase Emmons about Brooklyn Grange, a New York based farm currently covering two roofs, totalling 2.5 acres and producing over 50,000 pounds (23,000 kilos) of organically-grown vegetables each year. Chase shares a little of life on the farm, its uniquely urban setting of New York and his thoughts on the future of food.
