My childhood dreams were to become an astronaut or Indiana Jones — to go on some type of adventure. I’m still very much interested in that kind of lifestyle.

On this episode of People of Purpose, Johanna speaks to Pentagram partner, Natasha Jen, about her rapid ascent to leadership in New York’s design world, her love of adventure and art, and the advice she would give to her younger self if she could go back in time.

About Natasha

Natasha is a highly regarded New York designer and Partner at Pentagram. When she joined the leadership team in 2012, she was very familiar with the firm, having served as Art Director for more than 5 years and intern many years prior. It is believed she is the first former Pentagram intern to become a partner in the firm’s 40-year history.

Natasha graduated with honours from her BFA at the School of Visual Arts, and went on to achieve notable fame in the design world, through her work at base design, 2×4 inc. and stone yamashita partners before establishing her own studio, njenworks in 2010.

Today she continues to explore the power of graphic design in fashion, food, culture and technology.
